This is coming along for me shortly after listening to Sam from Historiansplaining podcast’s discussion on Shakespeare’s works being possibly collaborations between multiple/many authors, and our contemporary authorship obsession being so different from the attitudes towards authorship (indifference?) during Shakespeare’s time. Elif, I think your excitement about following clues and delighting in synchronicities helps me find that and I feel like I’m experiencing magic when I read your writing!
I loved reading this and thinking of Kafka and Brod as two comic foils. The sweetness of it all!! Imagine all the Kafkas out there who didn’t have a Brod.
this was beautiful elif. I am going to read it again tonight and savour it once more.
